Hand-knotted rugs, held in depth, in Lahore.

Loomish works with interior designers, architects, hospitality procurement, developers and retailers.

What you see online is a selection. The stock behind it is considerably larger, held in Lahore, and most of it has never been photographed for a website — which is why the fastest route to the right rug is a brief rather than a scroll.

Bokhara is held in depth. It is the house's own specialism: many pieces to a design, many to a size, and the reason a project needing matching runners down a whole corridor is an ordinary conversation here rather than an apology. Every other family is held as single pieces, collected one at a time.

Interior designers begin with the designer’s route; architects and specifiers with the specification schedule. Hotels and restaurants begin with hospitality; retailers, showrooms and importers with wholesale and supply.

Send the brief. We come back with what exists, what it costs, and how long it takes.

The house behind the rugs

Bokhara is bought and held the way a specialist holds anything — in quantity, across Gul, Tekke and Filpa, in three-ply New Zealand wool. Each piece is still chosen by eye: on the balance of the guls, the precision of the drawing, the quality of the wool and the density of the pile, none of which appear on a specification sheet.

Every other family is bought the opposite way. One piece at a time, because it was the right piece, and because a client who does not want to meet their own rug in someone else's hallway deserves one nobody else has.

The work is in Lahore. The rugs are hand-knotted. Nothing on this page is a render.

What the trade can source

Seven weaving traditions online, and a great deal more on the floor than has yet been photographed. Bokhara in depth; the other families as single pieces.

BokharaGul, Tekke and Filpa in three-ply New Zealand wool, held in depth. The same design and size can be supplied again, and in quantity.
RunnersBokhara runners, 2.5 to 2.7 ft wide and 6.4 to 12.6 ft long among those online. Held in depth, so matched sets for corridors and hospitality are ordinary work.
KazakCaucasian geometry at scale, in Astral, Monolith and Vector. Up to 9 × 12.5 ft.
ZieglerOpen fields and muted palettes, the most forgiving tradition in a finished interior. Up to 9.9 × 13.3 ft.
Agra, Khotan, Mamluk, KhurjinCollected one piece at a time, for projects that want something the market has not already placed everywhere.

For projects

ResidentialSingle rooms through whole houses. A client who wants a rug nobody else has is served by the single-piece families; a house where several rooms must agree is served by Bokhara.
HospitalitySuites, lobbies, corridors and restaurants. Runners and repeated-field designs hold traffic and disguise wear.
Interior and architectural practiceSpecification support, sizes and photography for boards, and a direct line rather than a form.
Retail and resellerQuantity, consistency and repeat sourcing are ordinary work here, and Bokhara is where they live. Selections are put together against a buying plan rather than sent as a catalogue.
